One of these times documented in Greek Mythology the Nagine are written as Sirens who called the men into the depths to die when truthfully they were knocked out and brought below to the cave for them then to change. Only on certain nights does it work though.

BACK STORY:

Wyn was born in Wales during the Victorian Era and grew up on a farm owned by her grandparents on her mother’s side but as her father was growing in status and popularity they then moved to London. However as a toddler her father jumped in front of a train, killing himself and devastating his family. Wyn was too young to fully understand but knew her father had died and would pretend he still was there to play with her and would sit in his desk chair, pretending she was sitting on his knee. Often times falling asleep there. This pained her mother so much to see her child fatherless she then decided to remarry; she would have had to anyway because of social norms. She married into a noble family and despite Wyn’s protest they moved into the family mansion with him. Wyn didn’t like him very much but he tried his best to be a father figure for her. She had a tutor that homeschooled her nearly everyday, except Sunday. Then she was surprised as a teenager that she would be married off to another nobleman's son who was more than five years older than her.
The wedding was beautiful but was still one to a stranger. Wyn was not very fond of the man as no matter how much she tried to please him and did everything she could for him he still would get incredibly drunk and verbally abuse her until she cried. And when he’d come home from the pub he would occasionally take out his anger on those who ridiculed and laughed at him on her. Because of this she became known for being the man's clumsy wife. After a few months of marriage she had found out she was pregnant but waited to tell him and he seemed excited. His beatings weren’t as bad anymore but the hurtful words continued with the drinking. Then one night, Wyn three months pregnant was greeted by her husband one night who was wasted drunk and pulled her out of her bed, screaming at her and threw her down the stairs, causing her to lose the baby. It broke her and after more abuse over the years she’d closed up completely and he would simply beat her for not giving him a child and not putting out as much as he wanted.
She got so sick of it as he was out at the pub she then left without anything and simply took a cab/horse and buggy back to Wales [which yes was over multiple days] and went to her grandparents home but apparently her husband had followed her. Her grandmother took her to the ocean and told her about an underwater cave that would hide her and that she should wait until night had passed there. And that is how she became a Nagine.
Now she is New York, present day.
